Friends, I had the best time in Adelaide over the Friends, I had the best time in Adelaide over the weekend. It was a quick fly-by for the A Romantic Affair, hosted by the gorgeous Jess at @thefirstchapterbookshop . Such a well organised event. I always love seeing spaces for readers and authors to come together.

With huge thanks to @wanderingbearsbookblog for looking after me and to @harleyparkerauthor for an amazing hug.

I can’t wait to see you all again ❤️

Oh, and road trip reading was all five stars, thanks to Vanessa Frake, @sarah_bennettauthor, and Hannah Bonham-Young.

I build in super-early starts on purpose — it keeps me out of traffic and gives me the quiet headspace to clear life admin before everyone else is awake.

It’s also when I chip away at the book I’ve been writing on weekends. My workday will get loud soon enough, so I use this window to stay organised, keep momentum, and make sure the important stuff doesn’t get squeezed out.

How do you carve out time for the work that matters before the day starts running you?
