Oops!

my desk is never this clean!

It looks like this is what happens when you hit ‘Transfer Domain’ without thinking about saving your old blog… three years worth of blog posts disappear in the bat of an eyelash, or the hasty scribble of a new book idea.

My webhosting was coming up for renewal, and because this page really doesn’t get a lot of traction, I was looking for a cheaper hosting alternative. I found one, I bought one, went through all the fiddly magic codes and transfers, bolted into WordPress thinking ‘I hate you, but I will conquer you’, and then thought about all my old posts.

If you’re new here, welcome. You won’t notice anything amiss. If you’ve been lurking these halls for a few years, you’ll be pleased to know the only thing that’s survived is my travel blog from 2015.

Over the next few weeks/months/years/hook me up to the Matrix when I’m dead, I’ll start sharing some posts with you. Let’s be honest, there’ll be some food stuff (we’re in iso after all). I might screech about my garden a bit; I’m building an edible garden, because food.

Oh, and I’ll probably start sharing some stuff with you about my books. I’ve had a list as long as my arm of stuff I woulda/coulda/shoulda been writing about my books, which I haven’t, because life. Fingers crossed I’ll get around to them soon.

And, of course, I’m looking forward to sharing the new cover for Accidentally in Love with you!

B xo

Midweek check in. How are you all doing? You okay? Midweek check in. How are you all doing? You okay?

I’ve written every day this week, something I haven’t done in months. I’m not reaching highs I’d hope for myself, but I’m using pacemaker.press (thanks to @rachelbwriter for the rec), and it’s helping to make this a game of bests.

So, 3000 words might not feel like a lot but, so far so good. ⌨️

I’m diving into an afternoon of writing here. Whatever you’re doing, I hope you’re having a happy day 😘.
I didn’t realise until this morning that last we I didn’t realise until this morning that last week was Holocaust Remembrance Week. It feels fitting then, that I read Eddie Jaku’s incredible “The Happiest Man On Earth” yesterday.

Eddie takes us on a journey from his life in Germany through to the harrows of concentration camps (more than once) and back again, to his new life in Australia. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll shake your head at just how awful humans can be. If you see this book around, grab yourself a copy.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️from me.
If woo-woo is not for you, look away now. If it is If woo-woo is not for you, look away now. If it is, let’s crack on.

I’ve had two weeks off, I’ve swallowed books and swum in words. I’ve watched movies until my eyes were square and I fell asleep.

Now, it’s time to get moving. I’m using my few months “off” to change patterns, tame the brain gremlins, and get my process sorted. It won’t be easy, I know that, but I have to start somewhere.

This morning began with a card pull. Calling in support and jumping in to adventure. I’ve taken advice from writers around me, I’ve made a plan, I just have to ... do it?

Also, I’m posting this to hold myself accountable because, if I have to come back and give you a word count next week, maybe I’ll get moving.

How about you? Are you starting a new project today?

No matter your monarchist or republican persuasion No matter your monarchist or republican persuasion, the sad fact is a wife has lost her husband, and I think we can all relate to that.
