Hazard is one of the best songs ever written. There, I said it. Fight me. The sound, the storytelling, the music video. Maybe it’s just … the vibe. Either way, it’s a song that has captivated fans and sleuths alike, all of us wanting to know whodunnit.
Basically, there is no answer. Richard Marx himself has even said he never thought the song that far through. Fair call. My heart will just have to go on (insert oversized boat here).
What do you get, then? Well, a cracking read for starters. It’s easy to forget musicians and other artists outside of their biggest hits, so this was massively interesting in learning just how prolific an artist Richard Marx still is. There’s no salacious marriage breakdown gossip (which I really love), just a deep love and appreciation for everyone who has come through his life. Highly recommend the audiobook.
